Byford Pump Track

Project Overview

The feasibility study for a new pump track by specialist consultants Common Ground at Byford is now complete.

The findings of the consultation and assessment identified a level of interest for a pump track and the desired level of amenity and extent of jumps and inclusions.

As a result of the detailed analysis and consultation, Briggs Park was determined the most appropriate site to accommodate a pump track within the available budget and timeframes in line with the community feedback.

The feasibility study included a concept plan for the pump track in Briggs Park taking into account the community ideas and feedback.

The Shire has now received approval and funding to proceed with Stage 1 of the Pump Track from the Department of Local Government, Sports Culture and Industries.

In the coming months the Shire will advertise to engage a Design and Construct Contractor to undertake the detailed design and construction for the Stage 1 portion of the pump track works.

Construction is planned to commence in March 2025.

Stage 1 works includes a pump track and jump line for intermediate users, shade shelters, street furniture and interface treatment to the existing service road. The concept plan can be viewed here, Stage 1:
