Byford Pump Track


Project Overview

The Shire has now received approval and funding to proceed with Stage 1 of the Pump Track from the Department of Local Government, Sports Culture and Industries. 

Construction is planned to commence in March 2025.

Stage 1 works includes a pump track and jump line for intermediate users, shade shelters, street furniture and interface treatment to the existing service road. The concept plan can be viewed here, Stage 1:

July 2023

Community consultation undertaken to gauge community interest in proposed Byford Pump Track

August 2023 - October 2023

Feedback received during the community consultation period reviewed, with findings guiding the next stage of development.

November 2023

Complete feasibility study report, including findings and analysis from community consultation period, presented to Council.

June 2024

Project finalised and approved by Council.

August 2024

The DLGSCI, Funding Assistance Agreement received and approved.

October 2024

Common Ground Trails engaged as the Contractors for the Detailed Design and Construction for Stage 1 of the Byford Pump Track.
