Apply for a new service
To apply for a new bin service, simply pop into our Administration Centre or complete the application form below and submit electronically or by mail.
Please note: We are only able to process applications that are signed by the landowner or their authorised agent (i.e. real estate company) as the bins belong to the property and are paid for by the property owner via annual rates.

Upgrade an existing service
If you find you're needing more space for your rubbish and recycling, you can apply for additional bins or larger bins (fees apply).

Bin lid Maxi Closers
Our winds can be fierce here in SJ. If this is posing a problem and causing bin lids to blow open and rubbish to scatter down the street, why don't you consider a Maxi Closer?
Maxi Closers are easy to fit, keep the lid closed (even in gale force conditions), are easily removed and extremely durable.
They come in two different sizes, one size for the 240L waste and recycle bins, and one size for the 140L waste bin.
Maxi Closers are free! They're available from the Shire Administration Building so pop in and grab one.
Please note: Maxi Closers are limited to one per household.
