Project overview:
The Keirnan Park Recreation Precinct has been endorsed for a 65ha site in Mundijong.
Key components:
- 15 netball courts (two courts allocated for multi-use – basketball/netball)
- Fencing, lighting and retaining
- Pavilion
- Car parking
What’s the community need?
The precinct is designed to meet our existing and rapidly growing future sporting and recreational needs. The precinct will provide high quality multisport facilities in a single location, capitalising on the efficiencies of shared infrastructure, and catering to modern sporting code requirements.
What’s happening now?
Keirnan Park is set to become our flagship regional sporting facility, hosting netball, BMX and a host of other sports and recreational pursuits.
The State Government has supported Keirnan Park through a $22 million grant to help deliver Stage One, which includes two sporting ovals, multi-use change rooms and pavilion.
Funding request:
We're seeking $40.4 million to help realise our community's vision for modern, contemporary netball courts and change rooms.
