1872 Heritage Railway Trail
Why should I go?
A 9.8km trail following Jarrahdale’s old timber tramway, this is literally a walk down memory lane… and of course, you can bring your dog! (so long as they're kept on a lead).

What is on offer?
This trail illustrates Jarrahdale’s rich history, exploring part of the old tramway that operated between the town and Rockingham. A gentle walk, you can stop off for a picnic among the bushland and there’s also a shorter 4km loop option.
What else can I do while I’m visiting?
If it’s heritage and history you’re keen on, then you won’t be short of things to do in Jarrahdale. After you’re done exploring the trail, why not pay a visit to the old Heritage Mill? Or check out St Paul’s Anglican Church? Just a quick trip south and you can visit the Old Serpentine Bridge School, too.

Jarrahdale Heritage Walks
Why should I go?
A trail for the history buffs, the Jarrahdale Heritage Walks will take you on a tranquil trip that helps you learn more about the town’s rich history by visiting heritage locations like the 1920s Timber Mill and the Old Post Office and Museum.
What is on offer?
Along with an abundance of local learnings, the short 4.5km loop walk is a gentle stroll through some of Jarrahdale’s stunning natural bushland. All furry friends are welcome on the trail, and you will pass nearby stores.
What else can I do while I’m visiting?
Spend a relaxed morning in Jarrahdale by pulling into the General Store for a coffee, or why not head to Jarrahdale Tavern for lunch? If you’re feeling up for a short drive, there’s more heritage sites to view all around the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

Jarrahdale Balmoral Trail
Why should I go?
Part of the famous Munda Biddi Trail, this track follows a former tramway from the Jarrahdale World War II POW Camp through to the Mundlimup Timber Trails. Easily accessible and available to both bushwalkers and mountain bike riders.

What is on offer?
This 11km trek takes you through bushland and farmland, passing a log-loading ramp and shield trees (used by foresters in the 1920s as a grid reference system). Uncover some local history while exploring the natural backdrop.
What else can I do while I’m visiting?
Starting adjacent to Balmoral Road means you’re just a hop and a skip away from Jarrahdale’s town centre, where you can continue to uncover all sorts of local history with a range of heritage sites located in the area.
