Landcare SJ
Landcare SJ is a not for profit community organisation based in Mundijong. Providing environmental support to the communities of Serpentine Jarrahdale and North Murray, they are also involved with a number of regional projects.
Working with community groups and private landholders in looking after natural areas, Landcare SJ provides technical advice and access to funding and resources where possible.
Their annual calendar of field days and other information events provides the opportunity for the community to improve their skills and knowledge on environmental topics.
As an environmental organisation they also run large on-ground projects such as the Serpentine River project, weed control in Threatened Ecological Communities, and looking after bushland and waterways on private land.
More information about their Black Cockatoo nesting program can be found at http://blackcockatoos.org.au/
