Big things are coming to Serpentine Jarrahdale! Two exciting recreational projects are set to take shape at Briggs Park – the Byford Bike Pump Track and Stage 2 expansion of the Byford Skate Park.
Both projects are proudly funded by the State Government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, with $800,000 allocated to the Skate Park Stage 2 and $1.34 million dedicated to the pump track.
With construction beginning this March, these additions will bring more opportunities for the community, especially young people, to get active, have fun, and connect.
Byford Bike Pump Track – Built for All Riders
Designed with community input, the Byford Bike Pump Track will be an exciting space for riders of all abilities. Key features include:
- A raised starting platform for an exhilarating launch.
- Intermediate and advanced jumps to challenge experienced riders.
- A dedicated loop track for beginners, ensuring a fun and inclusive experience.
Shaded seating areas and a drinking fountain will make it a comfortable and welcoming space for riders and spectators alike. Vibrant colours and eye-catching design elements will ensure the track stands out as a community landmark.
Byford Skate Park – Bigger and Better
The Stage 2 expansion of the Byford Skate Park will add more than 25 metres of new skateable space, featuring:
- A quarter pipe for high-energy tricks.
- Banks to add flow and style.
- A jump line and other exciting elements for riders to explore.
A shaded seating area will also be included, providing the perfect spot to relax and watch the action.

“The involvement of families and young people at the design stages of new pump track and skate park projects shows how eager we all are for new and innovative community-centred activities and I’m excited to see the progress towards making that a reality.”
