Please be advised that road widening works have commenced on a 2.3-kilometre stretch of Hopeland Road between Karnup Road and Henderson Road. This project focuses on upgrading two sections: Hopeland Road A (1.4 kilometres north of Punrak Road) and Hopeland Road B (900 metres south).

After identifying pavement damage and surface cracking on this section, and considering its frequent use, the Shire successfully secured funding through Main Roads Western Australia's Metropolitan Regional Road Group (MRRG) Rehabilitation Program.

The roadworks are being carried out by Raubex Construction and are expected to be completed by late December 2024. During this period, Hopeland Road will be closed, with detours and temporary traffic management in place to ensure safety and minimise delays. Local traffic will have access to enter and exit their properties. We ask all motorists to drive with caution and adhere to temporary speed limits while the road is under construction.
