The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale has gifted the Darling Downs Residents Association (DDRA) a new tractor to assist with maintaining the Darling Downs Equestrian Park (DDEP), ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience for riders and visitors.

The $45,000 tractor replaces a 20-year-old machine that had become unsafe due to mechanical issues, including the four-wheel drive system dropping out. With this new equipment, the DDRA will be able to efficiently carry out essential maintenance tasks, such as:

  • Removing fallen trees and debris
  • Mowing tall grass to reduce fire risk
  • Leveling ground where soil has banked up, improving access for riders and pedestrians
  • Lifting and upgrading horse jumps to enhance the park’s facilities

The new tractor will support the DDRA volunteers’ ongoing efforts to keep the park well-maintained for the community.

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale continues to work closely with local groups like the DDRA to support the maintenance and improvement of community spaces.
