The Serpentine Jarrahdale Library Service will celebrate what has been a fantastic first 12 months in its new Byford home with a birthday bash next week.

Join us for a day filled with laughter as we blow out the candles and celebrate all the great things our Library does for our community.
Activities for all ages will be on offer, including:
- Face painting
- Roving fairy performers
- A special show from Becky Buckaroo and her puppet pals
- LEGO play
- Mario Kart Tournament
- Craft activity in the Makerspace
- Mobile Library Van
Free coffee will be available throughout the day, and of course, no birthday bash could truly be complete without cake.
The Library’s birthday marks a successful first 12 months operating out of its new Byford base.
The past year has seen a series of significant milestones reached, including the launch of the Mobile Library Van, the opening of the 858 CoLab co-working space and the installation of amazing street from renowned artist Hayley Welsh to bring the exterior walls to life.
The Library’s new home has been embraced by the community, with 1,022 new members signing up and a total 21,500 visitors walking through the doors.
More than 160 programs and events have been delivered by Library staff, with a whopping 57,689 physical items borrowed.
