Shire seeks community input on Economic Development and Tourism Strategy
The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is inviting community members, businesses, and stakeholders to provide feedback on its Draft Economic Development and Tourism Strategy (2024-2034).
The Shire is growing at a remarkable pace, and whilst residential development is recognised as a big part of our growth story, we are very committed to supporting current businesses and attracting new opportunities to build upon the economic and tourism enterprise landscapes of the Shire. The next 10 years provides a key opportunity for the Shire, as strategic transportation links are forged into the district and growth builds in both Byford and Mundijong.
How we capitalise on this growth, attract further infrastructure needed, enhance the opportunities for business investment and grow jobs, are but some of the key priorities being considered as part of the Draft Strategy.
Shire President Rob Coales said community involvement was critical.
"We want to create a vibrant and sustainable Shire that reflects the needs and aspirations of our residents,” he said.
“Your feedback will help ensure the strategy aligns with your vision for Serpentine Jarrahdale."
Have your say
Community members can read the Draft Strategy and share their feedback on the Shire's Your Say SJ engagement portal.
