  • Where is the event being held?
    Clem Kentish Reserve, 24 Wellard Street Serpentine WA 6125

  • Do I need to register to attend the event?
    Yes, all attendees (adults and children) must register for a ticket for this event due to venue capacity. It also allows us to communicate vital information to attendees if required.

  • Is there parking available?
    Free parking is available on and around Clem Kentish oval. Please follow signage and staff directions.

  • Will there be food at the event?
    Yes! We will have a few food trucks, ice-cream van and a coffee van. We also encourage those with dietary requirements or food preferences to bring along their own food options to avoid disappointment. To view the list of food vendors attending, please stay up to date on the Shire's Facebook page.

  • What do I wear?
    We recommend sun-safe clothes & bathers, hats, thongs and lots of sunscreen!

  • What do I need to bring?
    Items we suggest you bring along:
    Your tickets
    A change of clothes
    Towels
    Hat
    Sunscreen
    Picnic rug/chairs
    Pop-up shade tent (nothing that requires staking)
    Cash for the food trucks in case of EFTPOS trouble

  • What if it’s raining?
    If extreme weather (hot or cold) is forecast, the event may be cancelled for health & safety reasons.

  • Will there be drinking water at the event?
    A drinking fountain trailer will provide free water at the event. Water will also be available for purchase from the food vendors.

  • Will there be toilets at the event?
    Portable toilets will be located near the slides, as well as permanent public toilets near the Clem Kentish Hall.

  • Will there be somewhere to get changed?
    We have organised for larger, accessible toilets which can be utilised for private changing facilities, however, please be respectful, courteous, and clean up any mess that you may make. 
    • What if my child doesn’t want to go on the big inflatable slides?
      That’s okay! We will have a smaller slide for little kids, as well as a mini splash zone with water play activities.

    • Is this an accessible event?
      Yes, those with accessibility requirements are more than welcome to attend at their own capacity. We will have accessible parking options and toilets available. Please note that the event is held on an oval with uneven grass & gravel surrounds.

    • What if I have questions on the day?
      If you require any assistance on the day, please look for Event Staff, identified in yellow hi-vis vests. You can also phone the SJ Shire afterhours phone on (08) 9526 1111.

    • Can I bring my dog to the event? 
      This event is pet-free. For the comfort and safety of all attendees, and to avoid embarrassment, please leave your pets at home with the exception of assistance dogs are welcome on a leash at all times.

    • Filming and Photography Consent
      Photos & videos may be taken by professional photographers and event staff during this event

      Images may be used by the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale and/or contracted event suppliers for marketing & promotional purposes. If you do not wish for your photo to be used in this way, please speak with the Event Staff or Photographer on the day. You will be issued with a coloured wrist band so we can identify and ensure that photos of you are not shared publicly.

    • Safety
      Parents/guardians are reminded that due to the nature of this event, children are the full responsibility of their parent or guardian on the day. If you, or a child in your care require medical attention, please visit St John First Aid staff.

      If a child is lost, please report details to the closest Event Staff member, or report directly to the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale marquee. Likewise, if a child approaches you explaining they are lost, please report to Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale marquee.

      Please take care and monitor safety within parking areas, near roads and pedestrian paths.
