Pump Track Drop-In Session for BMX Riders in SJ Shire
The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale, in partnership with Common Ground Trails, is calling on the community to share their feedback via a drop-in session for the new Byford Pump Track, set to begin construction in 2025.
This project is proudly funded with a $1.34 million State Government election commitment. The state-of-the-art track will be designed for riders of all ages, with a main track and a jump line for more experienced thrill seekers.
Young riders and anyone interested in the designs are encouraged to attend.
Why it matters
The track will not only be a fun and adventurous activity for riders, but it will also be a community hub where local riders can connect and share their passion for BMX.
Fostering community is at the heart of the Shire’s vision to create a vibrant and inclusive community where everyone feels at home.
Comments attributed to Member for Darling Range Hugh Jones:
“These drop-in sessions are bringing future users into the mix as real stakeholders in their community’s infrastructure and building excitement for this fantastic project.
“Once open, riders of all skill levels and ages, as well as families looking for new ways to get social and active, will enjoy all the benefits of a state-of-the-art facility close to home – great news for our fast-growing community.”
Comments attributed to President Rob Coales:
"These drop-in sessions are an excellent opportunity to provide us with your comments on the current plans, connect with fellow riders, and get early insights into the project that’s due to start construction in early to mid-2025," said Shire President Rob Coales.
“The Shire appreciates the State Government’s ongoing support, including that of Member for Darling Range Hugh Jones, as we navigate rapid population growth.”
