We're pleased to announce that Kardan Boulevard has reopened between Thomas Road and Pingaring Court. The road was closed to motorists from Monday, 19 August following heavy rainfall which resulted in flooding.
Our teams have been working diligently over this past week to respond to queries and manage traffic while clearing the road. We're pleased to say we've successfully found an alternate route for the overflow of water throughout this section of Kardan Boulevard.
Ongoing monitoring and inspections
We'll continue monitoring the road throughout the wet weather and will conduct inspections using specialised cameras. These inspections will help identify any potential blockages or gradient issues in the drainage system.
Long-term plans
The design for the slope of the underground pipe system is not adequate to support the drainage of water from the road. A long-term solution is required for Kardan Boulevard drainage, which we will be undertaking in the coming months.
We’re expecting more wet weather over the weekend. Please allow a few extra minutes for your trips and be aware of local conditions.
We understand this has been frustrating and appreciate the patience of our residents.
