Jarrahdale on Track to Become First Horse Trail Town

Jarrahdale is on track to claim the reins as Western Australia’s first Horse Trail Town, with work underway on 28 kilometres of new and enhanced trails to suit riders of all abilities.

The project includes a 5km ‘green’ trail, perfect for beginners or those enjoying a leisurely trot, alongside a 23km ‘blue’ trail for intermediate riders seeking a more spirited adventure.

Riders can look forward to a fresh trailhead, complete with essential upgrades such as float parking, holding stalls, and improved toilet facilities to ensure a seamless experience.

This exciting development is the result of a partnership between the Parks and Wildlife Service and the Shire, boosted by $1.15 million in Federal Government funding from the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts over two years.

Time to hit the trail? The horse trail network starts and finishes at Jarrahdale Oval, just 1km north of the town centre.
