WA Seniors Week, running from November 10 to 17 this year, is a special time to recognise and celebrate the vital role older community members play in shaping our communities. From volunteering to sharing their knowledge and skills, seniors enrich our lives and neighborhoods in countless ways.
This year, the Shire is thrilled to launch a week-long series of activities designed to connect seniors with each other and with local resources that support active and fulfilling lives. These events will be held from November 11 to 16 and are proudly supported by COTA Western Australia, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Lotterywest, and Act Belong Commit.
Seniors Week offers something for everyone, from scenic outings and creative workshops to fitness classes and social gatherings. Whether you’re seeking new experiences or looking to connect with friends and neighbors, this week promises enjoyable activities. Here’s the full schedule:
Seniors Week 2024 Schedule
Monday, November 11
Moondyne Joe and Toodyay’s Glow – Bus Trip - SOLD OUT
Kick off the week with a day trip to the Avon Valley. Enjoy morning tea at Noble Falls, a scenic drive, a visit to historic Newcastle Jail, and a two-course roast lunch. After lunch, explore local shops, then visit Cooringa Wines before a sing-along on the ride home.

- 8:25 AM at Bruno Gianatti Hall, Jarrahdale
- 9:00 AM at Serpentine Leisure Village, Serpentine
- Return: 3:30 PM
- Cost: $20 per person (includes transport, morning tea, and lunch)

Les Mills Body Balance
