The Youth Space is open again for young people aged 12-17 who are looking to kick back, hand with mates, have a lil snacky and learn some new skills after school.
This time around, we are focusing on a different theme each day, and have booked in some free activities and sessions based on your recommendations:
MONDAYS:
All about life skills + friendly competition. Upcoming sessions include resume and cover letter review and assistance, create an ABN (16+), save money and learn to budget, it's tax time and what you need to know, goal setting (you get a free journal!) PLUS access to our ping pong and pool tables.
TUESDAYS:
Expand your knowledge around STEM and Media topics! hands on learning is the best learning. Sessions include 3D printing basics, and introduction to graphic design, photo editing, Rube Goldberg machines, furniture upcycling and more.
WEDNESDAYS:
Health & Community are important for everyone, which is why we have some great activities locked in! This includes 'Quick Fix' Cooking classes every 2nd Wednesday, 'Stretch Sesh' to make a daily stretch routine, a scavenger hunt, Staff vs Youth Basketball, conversations around lung health and, yes, we are looking into a Handballl/4-Square area set up.
THURSDAYS:
Arts & Craft + Downtime to wrap up the week. Learn how to make Watercolour Bookmarks, dream catchers, paint pouring, Street Art and access to all our arts and craft materials. We have everything from painting projects to knitting.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The SJ Youth Space is only open to young people aged 12-17. All activities and sessions are completely free to participate in and pre-registration is not always necessary. We will prompt you if you need to register for a session. Please keep in mind that we are not open public holidays.
