Kardan Boulevard between Thomas Road and Koolbardi Loop is set to undergo road and drainage works from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 20 as part of the Shire's commitment to resolve flooding issues this road experiences during periods of heavy rainfall. The works will focus on inspecting and cleaning the underground pipe system, which has been identified as inadequate in effectively managing water drainage.

Key Details of the Project:

Dates: Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 20.

Road Closure: Kardan Boulevard will be closed from 9am to 3pm on the above days. Traffic management will be in place, and signage will direct drivers to alternate routes. Please note, the road will operate normally outside of these hours.

Specific works will include:

• Jet cleaning and camera inspections
• Video recording of the subsurface system to identify issues and assist with remedial repairs and any other work that's needed.

The Shire considers this to be a high priority and is committed to providing residents and road users with a long-term solution to improve the drainage system and hopefully prevent future flooding during periods of heavy rainfall.
