The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale’s hard waste verge collection service is now available to book online, making bulky waste disposal more convenient and efficient for everyone.

Since launching the service last month, the Shire’s Waste and Customer Service staff have processed over 1,000 bookings, with more than half already completed.

The service has enabled the Shire to tackle 50 reports of illegal dumping, contributing to a cleaner, greener Shire.

Shire President Rob Coales said the launch of the user-friendly web portal would streamline the booking process, making it quicker and easier than ever to schedule hard waste collections from the comfort of your home.

“With bookings now available online, getting rid of waste is now easier than ever and will further improve our efforts in maintaining a clean and sustainable community.”

The 2024-2025 SJ Waste Services Guide is also being distributed to all households within the Shire.
The comprehensive easy-reference guide includes kerbside waste and recycling information, green waste collection dates by area, bookable hard waste verge collections, and other recycling options.

“We encourage all residents to take advantage of the new online booking system and to consult the Waste Services Guide for all waste management needs to help keep our Shire beautiful,” President Coales said.
