Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale Bookable Hard Waste Collections

As per the information from the Shire's website, you can book your hard waste collection here.

Residents are entitled to two free hard waste collections during the current annual booking period ending on 31 May 2025.

Each entitlement allows up to 3 cubic metres. This equates to 3 metres long x 1 metre high x 1 metre wide or 10 feet long x 3 feet high x 3 feet wide. Mattresses, whitegoods and e-waste can be collected and count towards the 3m3 limit.

If you have used your two entitlements, you are able to purchase additional collections (3 cubic metre limit) by contacting the Shire on 9526 1111.

How to present your waste

Please follow the instrcutions on the website (in the Book your collection section above) for presenting your hard waste. The information below has been provided as a summary.

Do's for verge waste presentation

Place away from trees, walls, fences, sprinklers and vehicles
Place white goods, steel and e-waste in a separate pile from other verge collection items
Keep checking your pile to ensure compliance
Allow two working days from your scheduled collection date for completion

Don'ts for verge waste presentation

Obstruct any footpaths, driveways, your normal bin services or the line of sight of pedestrians and road users
Place near water meters, street signs, power poles or green power domes
Place any items on vacant land or public reserves as penalties apply for illegal dumping
Place commercial waste on your verge or place waste on commercial property verges - it will not be collected

Bulk waste verge collections

Not everything can be disposed of through your bulk waste verge collection. Please check the website for more details.

Tables and furniture with glass panels
Timber furniture;
Trampolines and swing sets (disassembled)

Please place these items in separate piles from the furniture

Bean bags or polystyrene balls
Building materials: bricks, tiles, sand, cement, insulation, plasterboard, concrete products, asbestos, fencing
Car bodies, parts or tyres
Food waste or domestic rubbish
Glass including mirrors, shower screens, plate glass, fish tanks/aquariums
Gas cylinders, aerosols or fire extinguishers
Garden organics: leaves, prunings, dug out lawn, stumps, logs. Please dispose of these through your garden organics verge collection
Paints, chemicals or oils
